ranks of the hunting enthusiast.  Out of the class, 1 person had
a score of 100% and 5 had scores of 99%.  Over the course of
the three days they were taught hunting safety and safe gun
handling as well as shooting on the range.  The classes were
taught by lead instructor Mike Schave along with Dodie Miller,
Dave Wandrie, Ric Lemon, Jeff Miller and Rodney Damm.

The Grindstone that has been leaning against the building for the last few years
has now been placed in it's new home in front of the building. The stone was put in
place by Woodke Builders and the electrical work for lighting the stone was
performed by Don Peyerk and Art Miller.   President Erwin Schave donated the
steel for the frame and donated the money to have the frame fabricated.  The club
would like to thank Erv, Don, Art and Woodke Builders  for their generous donation.

The annual Hunters Ball was held on October 24th at the Amvets Post in Port
Hope.  We had a good turnout and everyone had a great time.  Everybody
received a door prize with their paid admission and a big thanks goes out to
Ernie Slavic for knocking on doors for most of the give aways.  Also a thank
you goes out to Marla Kriewal, Rose Miller, Karen Wandrie, Erv Schave, Kelly
Marks and Sharon Hurren for their generous donations of all the mums and to

like to thank all the Board Members who spent the night taking money and
selling tickets.
